Apply to NMSU


Before you apply, please confirm that you have read the eligibility for Undergraduate Admissions.

Please keep the following deadlines in mind:

  • For the Fall semester enrollment, the deadline for filling out online application is July 1.
  • For the Spring semester enrollment, the deadline for filing out online application is November 15.

To apply, you will need:

  • Semester you plan to start (Spring or Fall only)
  • Intended major
  • Campus where you plan to enroll (NMSU-Las Cruces Main Campus, NMSU-Alamogordo, NMSU-Carlsbad, Doña Ana Community College, or NMSU-Grants)
  • Credit card for non-refundable international application fee of $50



Important Information about the Undergraduate Admissions Application:

  • The first step to study at NMSU is to create your NMSU account.
  • You can save your application and come back to revise it at a later date.
  • Accessing your application requires your username and password.
  • Your information is confidential and will be transmitted through a secure server.
  • You may only submit your application once.
  • A non-refundable $50 International Application fee is required. To pay the application fee, log into your application portal. The application fee can be paid at the time of the application submission or later.
  • This application is only intended for undergraduate admission at any of the NMSU campuses. If you are applying to graduate school, you will need to use the graduate application.

How to Pay the Application Fee

In order to pay the app fee, please log back into your application account. You should land on the Application Status page and see the link in red that will allow you to pay the app fee with your credit card, as seen below.
